Purulia the land of Palash Flower, Butea Frondosa
For the first time, the name had a face. Saw the flower Palash 🌼 for the first time in life. Growing up in Dehra Dun, and then working in Northern part of India, Delhi, one doesn't get to see this magical tree. I asked the Toto driver, where is this Palash, he said right here sir. The scientific name being bastard teak and or Butea frondosa. Pictures below They call it the sacred tree. Its my first visit to Purulia as well, thanks to the right advice by A. Am the only person here, feels royal. The vividly orange-red flowers, till date i only Google, hoping to see it one day. Here i am. The tree loses its leaves when the flowers are in full bloom.
